  • I run everything from dodgers and Hoochies to SRG Hoachase and the SRG small lures are especially effective on the larger trout. Check out their web site, SRG Lures.com. Idaho Falls business. Also, size J-9 double Rapalas in the rainbow or cutthroat pattern are effective. Standard Thomas spoons in the blue silver pattern work for fish that feed on kokanee. Good luck.

    Fish the Rock Wall East of the dam and up that canyon. LOTS of fish in that area. Also, in front of the Blow Out launch about 100 yards in both directions North and South & about 50 yards out. The inlet I am talking about is Bear Creek., The F&G has been planting kokanee up the creek for a couple of years trying to get a run started. Those fish coming out of the creek have been attracting predators. That's where the concentrations of bigger fish were 4 weeks ago. I have been to lake Walcott sense then. I will make another trip back up to Palisades soon, but going to hit Ririe for the next 2 weeks.
