Thread: New to Kokanee fishing

    Default New to Kokanee fishing

I live in Canby Oregon, never fished for Kokanee before.
I am wanting to put the boat in this coming weekend 3/26 and am wondering where the best opportunity to load the boat with Kokanee would be. I have a 15' boat without a down rigger so I will be trolling with lead.

Welcome aboard Using lead core should be fine this time of year. Kokanee will be shallower with colder water temps. Downrigging will help in deeper water columns during summer when those Kokes go deep.
