    Default 10/2 Mac trip

Went out Saturday morning, hit the lake about 9:00 am and headed a bit north of anvil. Found piles of macs in about 65 ft of water. We got about 20 pups, white tubes worked the best. We had the best luck keeping them with in a foot of the bottom. We headed in around 1:00. It was a fun morning chasing the pups.

We did go over the kokes spawning beds and the sonar black out with fish.

Great job on the Macs Aaron. Even better to hear about the kokes all stacked in there for spawning

I do agree you can't beat smoked pups, I would take them over smoked salmon any day.

It is always neat to see the big piles of kokes doing there thing.

Robert, we didn't get anything over 5 lbs this trip and I have been chasing elk for the last two weeks so I can't say if the bigger fish have started biting yet but I think it might be a bit before they turn on.
