    Default Harvesting Berries 7-20-2020

Got a call from Elk Hunter Sunday to join him in some Berry action Monday. After clearing the hurdle of not having any appts going on I was in for the day. On the drive up as we went over Daniels Summit the road construction cones moved us to the right shoulder a dead deer was laying in the lane, not much could be done to avoid it as it came up on us fast but center to go under the truck and boat, the truck cleared but not the boat, now trailer break lines have to be replaced. We missed hitting an already fresh killed skunk just before arriving in Heber City. Arriving at the Bay marina parking lot at day break there wasn't many boats there. It was more like the retired society out for the day. Once on the water and cruising out to a chosen location what boats were out there were scattered and no congestion. After dropping lines in it didn't take long for those swimmers to play. We were able to get 1 1/2 limits before the kokes stopped playing but the cutts let us they were still hanging around. We pulled up lines at 1pm and started heading down the mountain. Thanks Alan for a great day and couldn't have picked a better day to do it. We picked up some 2lb class silver bullets with one 3 1/2lber, Alan landed one nice 2 3/4lb. When the kokes play we oblige them. Chartreuse APEX was the ammo in which Hoochies weren't doing much this trip. Temp at 50' was 52.

Good Times! Hope that deer didn't raise to much havoc with your trailer!
