We grilled it and It didn't last long. Looking forward to some open water fishing.
That's why this oldguy doesn't ice fish. I would just have a heart attack and die right there. Praying for soft water soon. Nice one Arron.
Nice catch Aaron, I have ice fished in the past and was never really comfortable on the crackling sound whenever you walk on it. Its one thing when a fellow walks out on the ice but to add additional weight with the different machines used will keep me from venturing out. For me its not convincingly strong enough for support.

Thanks Rodger, I was trying for some bigger fish but that was the biggest I could get. The ice was 16 to 18 inches thick almost every where, but We did find two places that we broke thought. If the weather is good next weekend I am going to get the boat out and fish the open water.
Bill, I think my heart stopped as I watched the water fly up as we went in. I sure am glad it went the way it did. I hear the second wheeler took some work to get it out.
Well, glad to hear you are ok and things were not worse.

The weather has been very cold and the ice has improved allot. I didn't find any soft spots today.
I was mac fishing again today, I had three fish on but I couldn't get them to the hole before they came off.
Aaron,
How accessible is teh lake, are the roads drifted in or can we get around without much problems? will be bringing a sled up with us next week and also a wheeler to aid with getting around. talk with you soon.

The roads are good in the mornings but can turn in to a muddy mess if it starts to thaw. The ice had a little snow on it yesterday but I bet it melted off today. Ice cleats are a must.
