    Default Tower

Utah Winters make one invent things to do to their boat to fight boredom. My latest efforts involved adding this tower with lights and rod holders.

That looks good, how tall is it? I like the way they keep the rods up and out of the way. My problem is that I am so short I can't reach the rods.

Aaron, the legs are adjustable and since you NEVER put your top up, you can do just about any height you want. The tower also connects to the gunnels like a bimini with screw knobs and can be removed altogether.

Did the lights come with it or did you get them separate? I am looking for some of the brackets to mount my lights on mime with. I am with Arron I am short also and it is hard to reach them. Looks good Dave.

Welcome to the short club, I’m 5’-6” on a good day. This tower allows one to cut the legs to desired length. I used a large tubing cutter and was a piece of cake. The lights and the clamps for them were both purchased separately from Amazon. The brackets come in a variety of tubing sizes so easy to get the right fit.

Dave do you leave that foam on you're antenna all the time? I put a new radio in my boat and I haven't had a chance to test it yet.

The blue wrap on the end of the antenna is a flag. I put a rubber Atwood rod holder clip on my gunnel to hold the antenna off the surface so it doesn't bounce when being trailered.
