A few years back someone introduced Blueback Herring into Nantahala Lake in North Carolina. Prior to the Herring the lake had a healthy population of nice size Kokanee. The herring have pretty much wiped out the salmon. The state is planning to stock fingerling in the lake for four years. The original population of Kokanee were stocked from 1958 to 1962. Can Kokanee Salmon survive with Blueback Herring? The lake is 1600 acres. Thanks, Fred
