Default Newbee on Lake Anderson Ranch Resevoir

Hi, Second time out today. the first time out was a big -0-. Today we got 8 fish. Started at 7:00 till 3:00. Lost 3.
The question i have is - When we got there, the Temp of the water was 58. During the day it got up to 64. I didn't think it would change that much. Why does it change that much?

You’re probably measuring the temp at the surface or just below. The surface warms up pretty fast in the sun.

hi, if the water is on the surface and 64 degrees, how deep are the fish? We caught them at 10 feet or less.

Do you have a fish finder? They should be in the range of the thermocline, which should show up on the ff. This time of year the koks will be up in depth, but as the water warms they will go deeper. Right now because the water temp is still pretty cool, the thermocline is closer to the surface which is why the koks are not very deep....yet.
