    Welcome. As a kayak fisherman, you probably know getting your stuff deep is the biggest challenge. Have you rigged yours with some small downriggers?

    MY first Hobie was a Revolution 13, I had a Scotty downrigger. Sold that, got a 16ft Adventure and decided to go with
    Deep-6 and delta Divers---less fuss. Than discovered Bud's Diver, which works very well in the Strait.

    But August, don't usually need to fish deeper than 60 feet, as Kings are suspended, or patrolling the kelp at 30 feet.
