Arrived about 7:00 AM and launched my 20 ft Thunderjet from the back launch. Fishing by 7:30 AM. Air temps in the high 50's with a breeze making it chilly most of the morning. Water temp in the high 60's. Tested the water temps down to 75 feet and found 52 degrees to be between 25 and 30 feet. Started at those depths and caught a few. As the morning progressed, I kept noticing that most of the schools were hanging more around 18 to 20 feet.

Moved up to that range and started getting more takers. Pinks and orange were working when we started, but inconsistently. Later in the day, discovered all white was working slightly better.
Electric trolling batteries died about the time the wind picked up making it very difficult to control the boat, so we pulled up about 2:00 PM

We ended up with 7 in the cooler and 8 to 10 more lost at distance. Slow for 4 lines in the water all day.

Kayakers have discovered this is a nice place to go because it's wakeless and by mid day, there must have been a dozen on the water and over 30 more beached or getting ready to put in.
