Default Hoochies/tube flys by themselves, or with a spinner blade

When you guys fish tube flys or hoochies, how often do you just fish them by themselves versus with a spinner blade?

    Default Billa

When I fish tube flys/ mini hoochie. I never really fish hoochies. I use 12# Flor leader approx 8/10 inches behind a wobbler. The wobbled give the tube fly action or your hoochies. I like Arrow flashers by paulson cascade. Solid silver,24ct gold. On real cloudy days copper.

For me, it is about 50/50. I usually start out with a #0 or a #1 blade. If a buddy catches one on a fly or micro that's naked, I switch. Lol!

This was one of my more productive tube flies from last Summer.

If I use a full hootchie, it tends to be with a bill.
