Ball Troll Setback

I have decided to try ball troll flashers. How do you guys do it? Do you attach directly to the ball or set them back a ways. Or perhaps it depends on the setback of your gear.

I run my ball trolls directly off the ball and run my set up about 10' beyond the ball trolls. The set up is clipped on a stacker clip about 3' to 5' above the ball trolls. Some run their release off the ball trolls but I find that too difficult to get the line in the clip.

Thanks SuperD. Do you only use them when fishing deep enough to use a 15 or 20 foot setback? If so, what depth would you say that is?

My personal choice is to only use them when 50' or deeper on the wire.
