    Default Jigging for kokes

Has anybody been successful jigging for the Kokanee at the gorge? If so are you willing to share some techniques and jigs that are used. Thank you

About a week ago I was fishing south of Buckboard and there was a boat with 3 anglers jigging in that area and they seemed to be doing good. I have no idea as to what they were using for lures, something shinny probably.

    Regards

I've done well with jigging spoons like Northland Buckshots, Buzzbombs, and PLine Kokanators in 1/4oz and a variety of vibrant colors like you would use in trolling tackle. I also tip with Gulp, meal worm, etc. The jigging action will vary depending on the activity of the fish, but usually they hit it after the stroke, when it stops or I'm giving it minor jingles. Good luck!

I've done well in the past with Buzzbombs and Crippled Herrings.
