This is a blank You need to make, but they don't come any better than this.
Rainshadow RX6 / E-Glass - Down Rigger / Trolling 1pc.
RDR76L Kokanee / trout trolling 7.6" Action Mod, Wt 2.9 lb
The RDR76L rod is a great downrigger rod and is as tough as nails, but with that toughness of the e-glass comes a loss of feel and added weight. For my money, I prefer the SP840 Forecast Popping Blank for its light weight and extreme sensitivity in the top half of the rod. I love to feel every head shake. It also has a bit more backbone in the lower third of the rod. I am not a big fan of the noodle rod feel which bends all the way down to the reel. Just my personal preference. I have both blanks and they both are fun to fish.

Im a big fan of the Velocity rods, both the standard ones and the new Ninja rod.
Come to the ISE show in March and Buy you some Velocity Rods. They will be on sale at a great price and you will be most satisfied. Various colors, glass, graphite and the Ninja mix.

Thanks Gentlemen,
I appreciate your valued input! I already have my spot (#12) paid for this year at Buckboard. Hope to meet some of you there.
Mike Fresh
what boat do you fish out of?
We mainly launch out of lucerne but occasionally launch out of buckboard, Mainly early season.
we fish out of a white bayliner 2855 cabin cruiser
I have a blue Lund 1700 Fisherman. No top just a half naked tanned man jumping around calling the fish all day.
We will be at Lucerne July 4-12. Missed last year, so anxious to get back there again. Hope to see ya or at least chat on the VHF. I use an old JJohnson Red Kokanee special, but want to get one of those new Velocity rods. Checked online and now I have to decide which one??
I think you will be very happy with them. I use 2 of them on my boat.
