Western states have shown us lately the hell they are going through and I hope the fires can get under control soon. This is a pic of the sun this morning as it cleared the mountain top out my front door. So far Utah has escaped a harsh fire season this year with the moisture we have received in small increments has been enough to hold it down.

It has been just awful. I feel terrible for the folks losing homes, livestock, pets, and now the firefighters being killed/injured. I don't see it stopping anytime soon. I left the house Friday to "try" and drive 4 hours to a bass tournament - after 8 1/2 hours I was... finally back home, never made it close to the fishing. Fires, zero visibility dust storms, closed roads, highways and freeways!

The negative thinker in me believes that all these fires might be the icing on the cake for a pending El Nino Winter. Mud slides will be the next natural disasters to follow.

It's so UN stable and just downright freaky - nothing is like it usually is... Yesterday was clear here, so I was able to grab my dog and go for a hike, but it's back to looking "fogged in" today
