Ok so here is a question for you all-

When running a slingblade/dodger how far behind our how much leader do you put between your squid vrs. if your running a action lure such as a spoon???

If you're running a squid run it back 1.5X-2X the length of the dodger. If you're running a more active lure (like a billed squid, apex, spinner, etc) then you can run back a bit further from 12-24 inches.

Hootchie or a spinner, 9" leader, spoon gets a 15" - 18" leader and a shovel style hootchie, approximately, 24"+ leader.
