Kahle Hooks For Kokanee Fishing ?

Has anyone used Kahle hooks and what kind of results have you had ? A local sporting goods salesmen mentioned to me that kokanee fishermen use them and have improved their hookup ratio with this soft mouthed fish .

curious did you try them? on a recommendation i picked some up last summer and then never got out to try - have a variety of leaders tied up and will give them a try soon - did find that when i tied my egg loop leader i ended up turning the hook pointing up when i tied otherwise the hook didnt hang right but curled up...

Kahle basically have a wider gap and tend to place the hook further back in the fish's mouth. One argument people make against them is that they see more gut-hooking.
