    Default The Gorge

We spent the night at the Anvil Draw AIS inspection point Friday only to be told we need the AIS decal. I had a receipt for purchasing a decal dated back in Jan. still in the motorhome from the burbot bash, but the receipt says it expires 15 days after purchase. Instead of risking the fine we headed over to Lucern. We caught all our Kokes in 30'-35' of water. The majority of the fish were in the 19"-20" range all caught on a dodger and fly from a fellow KFF member "wrightwyoming".

If the Wyoming F&G didn't mail your decal, you ought to contact them...you paid for it, it should be good for all year. I imagine they will send you a replacement if the first one never made it on your boat.

This happened to me 2 years ago when I bought one on-line. I called them, told them I had the credit card transaction on my statement and they had me another decal in 2 days. I always do these things in February to avoid any issues as sometimes we get up there earlier depending on the weather.

it looks like you did good any way but it's been my experience that Wyoming fish and game will usually give you a warning and a temporary ais permit good for a week. but their is plenty of good fishing on the Utah side .
