American Lake sunday feb 23

Fished American Lake today from about noon to 3pm, no luck. Biggest goal was to try out our new fish finder. Works fine but didn't catch us any fish. We trolled 0.5-1.5mph on the north side of the island with several flasher/hoochie/Gulp maggot combinations let out about 40' behind the boat using downriggers with balls at 25-40', clips set about 5-10' above the ball, 12-14" leaders. We only saw a couple of nets in the air while we were there. Some rain but no wind so not such a bad day. We saw fish on the screen at various depths but no bites.

This has been my biggest stumbling block in spending BIG money on new technology finders.
