    What the answer? The question is, your fishing a high lake your down 60/70 ft on a downrigger you hook a fish anyfish he /she is fighting as you bring the fish up it gets a little lethargic the fish hits the surface and starts fighting furious again usual comment's are Oh he just seen the boat / he just realized he was hooked is this true or false add your comments

    it's probably instinct and in survival mode and is trying to go in the opposite direction he is being pulled because he knows something isn't right. dfly

    I've witnessed an awful lot of fish that were calm, even on the surface until the net was ready to fly. I say they can see!
