    Default gorge 7-30 & 7-31

I took my uncle up for a quick trip to the lake we started fishing around Breeze but there was way to much grass for me, it was causing lots of false trips, so we headed south and found less grass and better fishing. We did the best on blue haze and uv orange squids behind hyper plaid dodgers at 45 to 60 feet.

Those fish still look to be in pretty good shape. I would have expected more color by now.

Nice fish Aaron. I'm in the planning stages of a day trip. Too hot & too windy now. Little hint of color starting to peek thru. Should start seeing a noticeable color change in 2-3 weeks.

    My recipe is very easy,
    1 pound brown sugar
    1 cup canning salt
    1 tbl spoon garlic salt

let them sit 24hrs give them a light rinse, let them air dry ( about a hour). In the smoker they go over a mix of Alder and Cherry for around 4 hrs.

Just returned from the gorge yesterday, some fish are starting to turn really pink. Will try to get a pic on here later. Still lots of nice silvers though.

Nice fish Aaron. Thought you had quite fishing this year. Haven't seen you up there lately and the spiders have built some impressive webs on your boat motor. We were up this weekend and did very well. Several over 4 2 over 5 and a lot of 3's. And yes they are turning pink.Attachment 6603Attachment 6604

Rob after spending most of June up there, the kids wanted to do other things. So we have been pulling the trailer half way around the country but now that school is starting in the next couple of weeks, we will start hitting it more often. so I hope.

This is one that my uncle got back in June
