Default DAV Event at Soldier Creek

My son and I fished with the DAV Vet's on Saturday at Soldier Creek . we got on the water a little later than we wanted but due to the buses being 1 1/2 hours late not much could be done. Fortunately for me my vet drove himself to the event, so we got out a little bit earlier but not much. The fishing started out slow ,but by about 8:30 am things were picking up , we caught 6 Kokanee and 6 Rainbows 2 of the Bows were 19 1/2 inches . All of the Kokanee were small but good fighters, we lost about a dozen to self releasing. Good day onn the water lots of fish everywhere.

Hi Chris , there were at least 50 boats including several large Pontoons. I found the Thermocline at about 50 ft. , so we hung the downriggers at 55 ft. and 45 or so ft. Pink and white squids with a glow dodger, seemed to be the ticket. We always enjoy taking these guys out for a day on the water, they don't get out much and they look forward to going out every year.
