Default Surprising Kokanee "catch" from up north

Just got back from a great trip to Mannitoba with my son. Imagine my delight and surprise when this became my first "catch" of the trip. Picked up a few before we even got to the lake. All the same 12 oz. size!

Later my son put them on a stringer and said that we had a "limit" for the day.

Sorry Ron, couldn't miss an opportunity for a little humor. Can't wait to get back up to Nantahala in a few weeks and get a chance to get a few. Sounds like the bite is going really well. Hope it keeps up.

When I first read this I was not signed in. I thought you had a stringer of small kokes. I have to have a can of that Kokanee beer before I die. Hoping the bite does not die off in the middle of July like last year. The weather is still a tad unseasonably cool and rainy but great for sleeping with the windows open. We will save a few kokes for you and Trollmonkey.
