i have a question. is it fun ice fishing? i am down on the texas coast and the temperatures have been running in the high 60s and mid 70s. is it worth a trip up there in the snow to try it? i will be there in june and it is usually cool when we get there then.

Fishing thru the ice has its rewards when the bite is on. Sitting on an ice cube is not for me but I have done it a few times. The temps stay well below freezing, thick ice to drill, never have to worry about your beverages getting warm. The cold effects my arthritis too much. Ice fishing tents help out a great deal which but I like to use my money in boat and gear up keep.
