    Default koks at cascade

anyone catching them this year? BTW went to Riggins Saturday, Had 3 hookups and landed all three 1 was wild. It has been a goofy salmon season, not great fishing, just hit and miss.

Fished for them specifically last Sat.; trout, coho loved the kokanee gear....sling blades and hoochie.....but no kokes. Fishing where we regularly limited several years ago. Mike

Any size to the coho? Saw they have really stepped up the plants the last couple of years for them but have never fished for them specifically so don't know much about them up there. Was thinking of heading that way later this summer after the kokes have started to turn. Does anyone know when the coho turn and if they spawn out of cascade?

I also went to the check the kokanee plantings in cascade. They skipped planting in 2008 so the only 4 year old spawner type fish would be from any natural reproduction. They also skipped planting last year in 2011.

With the 400,000+ coho planted last year mixed with the 100,00 to 400,000 rainbows they plant in a given year I wonder how many of the kokes they do plant would have a chance to grow before being food for their bigger cousins.
