Default Fathers day week at the lake

So my wife and kids have made it a point that they take me up to the the lake the week before Fathers day, must say it is a week I always look forward to.

The first two days we had freinds and their kids with us, that meant me with 5 kids in the boat and one adult that had no clue what a downrigger was... or what end of the rod to hold on to. We fished the Sheep Creek area, lots of 15" to 18" kokes and a few masive back lashes , but it really was a great watching the kids.

The rest of the week was spent for the pipe north, with my kids. the koke fishing was red hot. we fished from 35 feet to 60 feet. Most of our bigger fish came from the deep. RGT UV pink spinners and RMT double glow pink squids behind RMT dodgers where are best lures.

We did not fish for lake trout much but I did manage to get three, the biggest was just over 25lbs.

Nice report! Wow, you saw some lambs, that's the first I've seen all year. Was there just the four? Is that the cut-thru in Sheep Creek?

Yes it was in the cut, the kids had fun watching the four lambs play. We saw them both days we went to Sheep Creek.

This was what we got most of are fish on.

Those are some nice looking kokes. I have never seen any wildlife while fishing before, maybe I need to start looking elsewhere. Thanks for the report.
