Coho or Kokanee?

New to the Forum, new to the board. Thought I would go to the source. Fished Island Park Res. in Idaho for a few days and caught a few fish that the locals said were Coho? Of course, they were a bunch of ole boys at the marina and I think they were lit..
We did catch numerous Kokanee, however these fish were much larger, all males, pink to deep red.

I certainly haven't seen it all but it would be a tough sell to convince me that these fish were coho. The one in your left hand looks like it's a kokanee for sure. Unless of course you had some pinks around. If in doubt you can always check the gills to see if they are kokes or not.
