I fish all over and In my opinion the NM koke lakes rank up there with the best, and they are never crowded. This forum should be hoppin. Limited out in less than an hour for several days at heron last week and from what I hear it's still hot. Cought mostly 13-14, but had some hogs in the bunch. Chartruss anything trolled slow cought fish, 20-25 ft. I will head back in two weeks, hope the bite holds. How's everyone else doing??

I'm heading up to Heron tomorrow. Hoping the fish are larger than last year, they ran pretty small in my opinion. I guess I've been spoiled in years past, routinely catching Kokes 16+ inches.

I shifted my fishing plans to start later in the year so the fish would be...bigger?? I hope???

cought several 16 --17- last week but most were fat 14s Back side of the island down about 25 30 ft. Best luck with a flourescsnt apex, or chartruse anything
