I hit Summit Lake yesterday with my brother (another new member on the site) and our youngest nephew. We trolled mid-lake for awhile and hit fish every now and then, but nothing red hot. Toward the end of the trip we headed towards the boast launch and found several nice fish in the SE area of the lake, some within only 200-300 yds from the boat launch. We eneded up keeping 10 kokanee. The largest were in the 13-14 inch range (as big or bigger than those we have been catching at American Lake) we also ended up keeping 2 in the 7-8 inch range that had somehow managed to get the pink wedding rings far enough down their throuts that releasing them unharmed was not an option. In addition, we also caught some in the 2-4 inch range.

I am hoping that the different year classes we ran into indicate that the Summit Lake kokanee population is healthy.

P.S. Fish were caught at anywhere from 30 to 60 feet off the downriggers.
