    Default porqupine 6-18-11

Well, I would have to say that the rumor of the kokes being stunted this year seems very true, me and my friends kids fished a few hours friday night and saturday morning and all we caught were dinks (8-10") kokes, if that. Had alot of rod wiggles that came up with no fish to show for it. All i could get them to bite is scorpion and bugeyes spinners. We also caught a few small browns too. The lake is very stained and was 55-58 degrees surface temperature and is spilling over as fast as it can. Had no problems launching

We hit it once on the hard deck last winter and all that we caught were 6 to 7 in. kokes never went back. Might have to try Anderson Ranch this summer for the kokes, not sure if the limit is still 25 or not.

Roads good, there running the big oil or gas pipe thru there so they have to keep it open, Going to spend the weekend before the 4th up there.

Thanks for the report. Now that school is done and I have a free weekend, I'm thinking of heading up on the second. Hopefully the water is a little less stained. Any one out there have a current report on water clarity?
    Best of luck this weekend!
