    Default A Couple New Dodgers

Okay, these are the 6" spoon blanks I found to experiment with. They have a much deeper cut in the tail than a sling blade or RMT blank so I'm real interested to see what the action difference is. One in pink and one in purple to start the experiment.

Those spoons look good Dave, should be interesting to see how they do. As far as the soft glow beads, I just picked some up today made by Owner Hooks. They have 3 different colors in 3 different sizes...

This one isn't photographing very well because I used dark colors, blue & purple. It has a UV coating as seen by the second photo.

I ran these on Friday and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of tail swing!

Great stuff! I think there's an extra good feeling when you catch fish on something you made yourself.

Outstanding, Bullets! You make me feel like a real piker on these special gear modifications you do. I've been a little lazy this year...too many things to do. Your photos are coming out great, too! I bet you are glad you can post pictures now.

I do enjoy finally being able to share pictures. It's kinda hard to tell from those ones but on the sling blade dodgers the side your looking at is the side that normally is bare (the back of the dodger.) I change the fronts also and not always a mirror image of the backs. I always add tape to the back side of dodgers to help attract. They say kokes can only look up, but from some of the video's I've seen they come in from the side also. It seems as the dodgers are swaying back and forth some of the back side of the dodger is going to be visible and with the sun hitting it I figure I might as well make it work to my advantage.

I tape both sides of my dodgers as well SB. I never understood why a Kokanee wouldn't see the other side of the dodger???

I find that split rings are like shoes and one makers #6 is different than another makers #6. For the larger dodger blanks, buy a pack of #6 and a pack of #7 to see which you prefer working with.
