    Default Opinions on Scent Dispensing

What are all your opinions on scent dispensers? I picked up a couple of these scent dispensers in a clearance bin and thought I'd give them a try. They were cheap enough so I'll spend more in pro cure to try them what I spent to get them. Do you guys think setting a scent trail beyond what is on your lure does anything at all?

I have some that I got from Pro-Cure ,but I haven't used them as of yet. I usually just add the scents directly to the lures.

I have the Pro-Cure dispensers and have only used them a couple times so far. I put strips of chamois inside to soak up the scent, and attached a large duo-lock snap on the canister so I can hook it directly to the ball or the end of the ball trolls. One thing I'm a little concerned with though is I remember reading once that the use of too much scent can be non productive, so it will take a some of experimentation to see if it's worth the bother.

So it sounds like what you need is a way to video what goes on behind the scent trail... that would be interesting to see. My guess based on way to many hours of watching boring Kokanee video is it will attract more Kokanee overall and they will follow around for even longer similar to ball troll attraction. Getting them to bite will be another story as I have found. We'll given this info I'll have to experiment this coming season as it was something I was thinking about.

SuperD - Did you find those dispensers in the Cabelas bargain bin at Boomtown? That's where I found some in November just by chance.

I have only applied scent to either a lure or just the stinger hook on the hooch. Never tried the dispensers but I'm always gamed to work with something different. HTK, It will be interesting to see a video on Kokes sniffing out a scent trail.

My primary dispenser is the scented corn.
