Got up at 3:30 this am to head to Mackay Res for some Ice Kokes. Got word they were considering closing down the highway so I'll try again later in the week after the storm. Anyone been over there?

I do not know how many people know that Kokes are in Mackay Res. But it is loaded. We limit out in less time than it takes to get there usually.

How thick is the ice. And how big are the Kokes this winter.

I haven't been on the ice yet, but last time in the boat fish 12-14 ". made the mistake of putting out 4 lines. What a mess. We had fish on everyline at the same time. They were dancing on the water and really screwing up everything. Went to 2 lines to keep everything straight.

Let me know when you get onto on the ice and how it goes. If the wind doesn't Blow, I might give it a try. BRRR! Its gets really cold on Mackay in the winter wind.

The ice is 10" and the weather report looks good for Saturday!
