way to make me jealous. I've been having problems with my idle speed so I got a new trolling motor last week. Spent all day yesterday flooring my parents house and I am dying to try trolling for some Ririe Salmon. Have you been fishing towards Blacktail or Ririe? Last time I went we stayed close to the Juniper Ramp in case my motor died on me. We found one big school and a couple smaller ones just wondering if the fish all start heading towards Blacktail this time of year to start thier spawning migration or is there a bunch of the planters that stay around the dam? Never done very much trolling up there this time of year.

I fish the Juniper Ramp end which is the dam end of the lake. Since the fish are planted at the Juniper Ramp the majority return to the ramp to die. The fish are turning now so we only have about one more week before the meat turns to mush. You should come out and ice fish with us. We fish all winter long and it is a hoot! If you see my boat (click on the link in the sig box) give me a shout and I'll give you all the help I can!

Thanks for sharing MMM, great pictures! I could be wrong here, but it looked to me like Princess was doing the rollover and wanted to go back to sleep!

I like your pic's MMM. Princess only needed a belly scratch to get jump started.

Thanks for the info. I plan on being up there Saturday morning I'll keep an eye out for you. I also enjoy the ice fishing up there it can be a blast. I've also sat there and stared at my hole all day long without a single nibble. What do you think about the upcoming Kokes that we will be catching this winter, is it just me or are they going to be bigger than they've ever been up there. I don't want to get myself to excited but I am hoping for some nice tug of wars this winter. Hope the Walleye don't ruin it for us.

Nice report Don. I know that lake can become packed with water skiers so you need to get up early. My bulldog, Yogi, is one of my favorite fishing partners also.

Thanks for the replies! I'm glad you had as much fun with it as I did.

Maghunter, I think the ice fishing will be off the hook with fish that are a couple inches bigger than normal. But . . . I'm a fishermen and I've been told the first requirement in fishing is to be an eternal optimist!
