Still some awesome fishing in the Canyon these days. We got out early and had 9 kokes by 9am on both Friday and Saturday. The fishing was pretty consistent and we got into them just upstream from Jarvies. Most of the fish were around 50ft, but stacked between 45-65ft. One set-up outperformed all others, and it was a Hyperplaid Dodger with a hot-pink squid. On Friday, that one rig caught 7 of the 9. Crazy how one rod can be so busy.

Boat speed was still around 2.2mph, although we hooked one fish when fighting another going only about 1.5mph. Water temps have finally reached 70F down here, making ice in the livewell more advantageous than water.

Last year, the koke fishing slowed down later in August here in the Canyon. I suspect it's probably as the fish start to migrate north to spawning areas, but hopefully they'll continue to hit locally for a couple more weeks. Hope it helps, Ryno
