Swedish Pimple 1/4 oz in glow with Mack's glow hook attached 4 to 6 inches below shopeg corn maggots. Night fished with floating lights and lantern in the boat. Super lite fiberglass rods really...
Hello all sorry about not posting for a while. The Loon kokanee are really fat this year.
Managed to take friend Mark out for some kokanee night fishing at Loon. Got a late start seems there was...
Hi surfj - I too have had problems in the past. I like to re tie everything with P-Line CFX 12#. Don't seem to have the issues I used to have. Also use it for leader. I like to snell both hooks...
Just got back, had a blast reports to come - Alan
No problem. He should spend more time on the water trolling.......tooexcited
Thanks salmonriverrick, kinda thought that might be it.
KokaneeHunter - I have never given the Spokesman Review any info. If they had any at all they got it from my posts on Northwest Fishing...
Thanks for the report salmonriverrick. The spring must make morons of some people. We were fishing in the Salmon Derby yesterday on CDA Lake and a Donzi go fast boat with a buddy following in...
Tackle shops are in Coeur d' Alene a long ways from you. Sorry bout that!
kodiak1 - nepetbutler was the one who lost so many. I use light kokanee rods, play the fish to the side with rod loaded, crank steady but not fast and yes put the rod in the water if the fish wants...

Don't think a snubber tooexcited will help much unless you are using a telephone pole! I switched to Gama Drop Shot/Down Shot wide gap #2's and never looked back; they stick on and rarely come off.
Wierd the pics wont load since you have done it before. You have to load them and then you can include in the post. Looking forward to seeing the results from your great springer fishing. - Alan
Dr Matt I have a good friend who guides for kokes on Roosevelt. It may be the best way to get a "handle" on the lake in one easy lesson. You can PM me for his info if you are interested. Otherwise...
Glad you got up for some of those wonderful kokes Denny. We are so privileged to have fish like that in Roosevelt and yes they do pull like freight trains...running away down hill that is! Who...
It's been kind of interesting at Roosevelt this winter. We have not been catching the smaller fish attributed to Idaho. I wonder if they have grown up? The fish we are catching are 18 to 21" and...
Thanks Lucky Duck - Very informative, looks like fun!
I am a huge fan of tackle with ultraviolet. Buy a UV flashlight and check to see how a particular lure responds to it. Also you can add glow beads/hoochies for additional contrast at depth. Real...
Guess I might as well chime in on this too. First of all I don't think Idaho fish and Game is greedy. Idaho has awesome programs going that I as a Washington resident enjoy. Do I like paying a...
I have one and love it. The newest ones have even more features.
Thanks for the pic Lucky Duck. Cool looking jig. Sounds like it works good.
You are all welcome - glad to share. Get The Net, the fish from lake Roosevelt are some of the best table fare anywhere in my opinion. Even the rainbows are awesome red flesh and can be eaten fresh...
Thanks Lucky Duck - I don't live anywhere close to Odell. Can you post a pic of the jig to give me an idea of what they look like?
One tip that may help is to put a slight bend in the sling blade about a third to half way up and put it in the water to see the difference. The manufacturer actually softened the metal to make it...
