Get'n Jiggy.......
I'll be available to take at least one if not two people out. Just let me know...
We'll be heading up to Riffe for three days (22nd -24th ). Never fished it before, but after picking Trollnfisher's brain, I'm excited to give it a go. Any tips would be appreciated, and I'll give a...
My wife bought me a shirt that says the following,
"If a man is all alone in his boat, and his wife speaks, does he care?"
Nice report, those sure don't look like late August fish! I may have to try and squeek one last trip in.
Fished Merwin with Mackprince and my son on Sat. morning from 6:30 - 10:00. Got 9 nice fish before the bite really died off. Most were caught between 40-55ft with a pink apex behind a watermelon...
Took the family over east for a few days this past weekend, and went over Hwy 12. Rimrock & Clear lakes look like really nice places to spend a few days. I see that they have kokanee in them, and was...
Decided the use the boat to run out to a lcoal beach with the family and do some plunking for the summer steelhead. We had a great day of fun in the sun and added a little catching into the mix as...
Kokonuts is right, Brad does great work.
His website is www.cohodesign.net, not .com though :)
Fished from 6:30 - 10:00 this am and managed 4. Tried to scratch out a limit, but didn't want to deal with the fiberglass hatch at the ramp. Most hookups were between 40-45ft on pink hootchies and...
I'll be flying solo out of Cresup in a white northriver. I'll look for you out there!
Anyone planning on fishing in the am? Haven't been up in a while, and was thinking about an early am trip....
I use 12lb mono on my Okuma convector 15's. The reason I use 12lb is it is a little larger in diameter and tends to stay in the downrigger release better. I flat line with it early in the season and...
Little late on the report, but my son and I had a few hours to kill Sunday am, so we hit the lake around 6:30 and managed to scratch out 5 fish before we had to leave. Started out just west of CH,...
Thanks again for puting this on, it was a great time. Nice to meet everyone, looking forward to some good reports from this summer!
Tight lines!
-Matt
I'll grab 2 or 3 extra large bags of chips.......
Does anyone know if they are going to replace the pumps at the store? The last time I went bye, they were down? It's been a month, and I was wondering if they will be working again...it was great to...
We'll be there! Looking forward to it again.
Anyone know when this fishery starts up? I've never tried it, but I'm thinking about heading up for a change of scenery.
Thanks
Let me know if you want/need a hand...might cost you a couple beers though!
There may be now....it's been a while since I've fished back there. I know that they are puting salmon (atlantic's I think) in places like Stockbridge Bowl, Onota Lake, and Laurel Lake. I've seen...
Ain't no koke's in the Berkshires...lived there for 20 years before heading out west! Lot's of them toothy critters like Pike,Musky & Pickeral though!
Well, despite the terrible reports coming from Merwin I decided to throw in the towel and make my first trip of the year to the lake. I hit the ramp at the crack of 2:30 pm and headed out to fish....
Late June at Yale sounds good. Looking forward to it again this year!
I have noticed that the meat color on the Merwin fish can very, but most of my fish either go in the smoker or are canned. I got my first kokanee of the year on March 6 last year (pic below) at Yale...
