You were fishing too deep. We were up there the same day and had 8 by 2. We lost 5 others. We were only fishing 2 rods out the back of the boat most of the day because it got so windy. Almost all the...
Picture had to be from Lucky Peak or Anderson if it was a chinook from around here. Chinook have never been planted in Arrowrock.
We talked with the gut in fins and feathers because that's where we bought my wife's license. Seemed like a great guy. If we hadn't scheduled already with Premier Charters I would have been very...
Beautiful sturgeon! In CDA I've fished with Premier Charters -208-599-0409 and been very happy.
My advice is to pay for a guide the first day and then you will be in the know.
Don't think that was a Coho. Records don't indicate that Coho are stocked in LP, only Kokes and Chinook. Thanks for the report.
Water at spring shores is almost always much calmer than near the dam but Turner gulch is always launchable no matter how low the water and Spring Shores isn't if the water is low enough. I've caught...
The 150,000+ that were stocked last month, actualy in June not July, were less than six inches long meaning the were probably 2-4 inches. Some have probably been eaten by predatory fish but most are...
Spring Shores is open at 6am.
Thinking of going to Deadwood later in the month. What is the road off 21 past Bull Trout Lake, route 579 like going in. I have a Nissian Frontier 4x4 and will be towing a 16ft boat.
Haven't seen the dead fish being talked about here. Last time I fished Arrowrock was 3-4 weeks ago. We got 3 small kokes and loads of trout. Many of the trout were 15-16 inches with full tails.
Just wondering, why don't you think more than 1000 kokes will be caught in CJ? Is there something different there than Arrowrock or Lucky Peak?
Did you launch at Spring Shores or Turner Gulch?
We got all our bites right up in the top 10 feet at Anderson.
I fished Wednesday and though the bite was not spectacular it was pretty consistent. Boated 10 between 7-12:30. Lost that many more. Only had one downrigger as the other is needing repair. All were...
I use both leadcore and downriggers. Sometimes one way out catches the other and the next time it might work the opposite. I refuse to to put more than 5 colors of leadcore on a reel. If I need to go...
Put me in the love 'em camp. Have had my same Scotty downriggers for 17 years and they are great. I recommend electric if you have the extra bucks. JMHO
Just my opinion but I'm not a fan of the Kokabow dodgers. They pull much harder for me than regular slingblades and I haven't caught more fish using them over the easier pulling blades.
Hey F-Bomb- a few years ago I was at Lucky Peak and the wind was howling. It was early in the spring and I was trolling large size needlefish for trout. I started catching big kokes. That day I was...
Went to Arrowrock today. Caught a few nice trout but no kokes. Had boat trouble and was towed in by the nicest anonymous gentleman on the lake. Just wanted to shout out a huge THANK YOU! Idaho has...
I have had my best luck in June but there is good fishing from March through October although I have never done well personally in August. Good Luck!
