Yellow Off-Shore on the downrigger ball. Shasta releases on the Shuttle Hawk. But as Trophy Taker said, you're better off using all the same diameter line when using the Shasta releases so there is...
Mine (ours) is 5lbs. 2oz. twice. Weighed on a Nor-Mark Digital Scale. One was caught in 2002, on 14 July, around what I call Ray's Cliffs. Didn't measure the length. The other was last July,...
Thanks for the clairification Tom.
Perhaps everyone could print your information out and carry it with them while they are traveling in Wyoming.
I myself have never been stopped in all the years...
The Koke numbers have definately suffered compared to 12 - 15 years ago. We've caught some nice ones out of there back in the early 90's. Of course now having Burbot in there won't help either.
[QUOTE=Lundman;356]I'm trying out some new downrigger weights that are fish shaped and paint black with red highlites.
You'll like the fish shaped DR weights. You can also paint them in Red,...
My go to's would have to be the Pro-Cure Krill, Predator, Carp Spit, and Koke Special. Probably not in that order, but just do the try one, change one thing.
I came from the Northern Flathead Valley in Montana. I've fished for Kokanee pretty much my whole life. There are numerous waters in the Big Sky state that have this great Salmon. Second to Koke...
PM'ed about it on another forum.
We'll be doing a Yard Party. Not as exciting as fishing but the eats will be good.
Just a thought for anyone who has one of these. I needed a recharge kit for the Mustang PFD I have and when I went to the local sporting stores I found that they cost around $ 70.00. I did a little...
On the subject of your ditch bag, a couple of other goodies to have is a magnesium & flint stick, along with some double 00 steel wool. It is always water proof.
Iodine tablets.....makes any water...
I spoke with Lee's this a.m. and was told that Honda has little to none for options on their trolling motors. He said I could change the pitch "a little", but that the "little" change probably...
Jason mentioned Lee's also. There is a guy down here out on Antelope Drive at the Marine Prop Repair that I will ask the question to also. When all else fails I guess I'll have to go find that...
I'm not sure what the pitch is on it out of the factory. I don't even know if they would make a lower pitch prop for that small of a motor. I will look in the owners manual and see if it lists what...
The motor will idle down very well without being in gear. It's just when it is put in drive that it will load up unless it is kept at a certain RPM. I bought it at Newgate and the folks there have...
I'd have to say that I am well beyond the 50 foot back mark. While Petty, Basseater and I were fishing the Villa derby, we were laughing at how far back some of the Kokes were jumping out of the...
As Petty and I were talking about this subject, I thought I'd ask you all your opinion........... I have a Honda 5 horse 4 stroker that cannot be trolled down to below 2.2 mph or so without loading...
Big Jon Speed Riggers for me. I like the workmanship that goes into them.
