OOPPPSSSS> what I meant to say is the largest are 10-12" according to my friend.
Still lots of kokanee there 10-12" but by the time you buy oregon license & pay gas & camp fees, i just stay home.
bayhorse,
The attachment wont open for me.
Good luck Jim, let us know how they work out.
With the water cloudy like it is now, the Jack Lloyd would be a huge advantage.
They are still made in Renton Wa. & I have an inquiry in to one of their distributors for local retailers. I will post...
Rush Rock
The big koks you caught early are probably in the creeks getting ready to spawn. The koks biting now are next years spawners. The water in Lucky Peak comes out of the bottom of Arrowrock so...
ericsod,
Sounds like an offer I couldn't refuse normally but, I have other commitment for Saturday. Maybe we can get together next year. I live in Nampa.
ericsod,
Did the boat come with down-riggers? The koks are pretty deep this time of year, usually 50-70'.
Good luck.
I did about 5 years ago . They were about 70+' down & I threw about 1/2 of them back as they were just starting to turn red. Caught one about every 10 minutes tho. Best fishing was b/t Casey ck & dam...
Mike,
How far from the marina launch is this island? I have never been on the lake this low before. Hope to go Saturday too.
kok-head,
where do you find maggots at in the boise-nampa area?

The hi water ramp sounds a little iffy but the low water one has a 100' of water on it. Let us know if you go, I was planning on trying it later this week.
I have seen this before when kokanee fishing in Canada. I think they are feeding because they seem to hit anything.
Anderson Ranch is only 30% full. Water is probably getting warm & fish are small,8-10". Possible lots of traffic up there with the fires. Seems like kokanee fishing it is over for this year.
In case you haven't heard, Arrowrock is down about 110' as of Thursday morning. I heard you cant get past the dam.
Went to LP friday ,got on water at 7:30 along with 5-6 other boats. Nothing doing till 10:15, then picked up 2 in 5 minutes.Double header at 11:30, 3 of them 15", 1 slightly smaller. Lost 3 in...
I have never used it when the lake was lower than it is now, however I have been told that the paving goes on down so you can launch when the lake is about 20+ ft lower than it is now.
Yaw, the...
Thanks alhntr
alhntr,
What time did you get on the water. I went Tuesday at 8:00 & trolled for 4 1/2 hours & only caught 2 squawfish. Using the same gear that has been good all year.
