Fished 8 to Noon. Had lots of fish on (6) but only managed to get one 15" fish in the boat. Slow between bites. Down riggers at 20+ feet. Started shallow in the morning but no takers. Thinking...

Fished 8 AM to Noon. Hooked 5, landed 2. Two .. one lost, one caught were very nice fish. Others were smaller. Didn't seem to be any "schools". Caught them south across from marina and towards...
Fished Anderson today from about 8 to 2:30. Five hits, four fish in the boat ... nice size ... right around 17 inches. Two of them were showing some color. The females were full of roe. Found...
Thought we'd give Lucky Peak one more try. Fished from 8 to noon after putting in at Spring Shores. Fished all around there without a nibble. Fished with down riggers set from 15 to 55 feet with...
We had the same experience on Sunday .. Fished 7:30 to noon (when the wind blew us off the lake). Hooked one Koke at 50 feet .... and lost it 20 before the boat ... hooked on a silver and blue...
Fished LP this morning from 8 to about Noon. Hooked one "dink" koke that was lost at the boat when it wrapped the line around the downrigger line and one very nice trout. Fished from Spring shores,...

They are easy to fillet ... just start below gills and go for it like any other fish. I leave the skin on for smoking. Do cut the ribs out before processing. Not hard. Give it a try.
Good...
Yes, they still charge at Spring Shores, but we by the annual $10 pass with our vehicle registration fee each year so basically free after 2 visits...... Not so busy and not full of idiots. No drama...
We put in at Spring Shores today with a 16.5 foot outboard. There is ramp, but you really have to back in quite a ways to get enough water under your boat to float it off ... We got it done, but...
Fished LP today from about 9 to 2 pm ... one rainbow, one good strike but no hookup. Pretty much had the lake to ourselves. Did much better last year at this time.
Fished from about 9:30 to 1 pm primarily in front of Spring Shores. Fishing slow for us. Wife caught a couple in the 15-16" range .. I just drove the boat. She hooked them at 20 feet down with...
Glad you had some luck. We fished the "pool" in front of Spring Shores from about 6 to 10:30 and other than 2 little dinks (released) didn't have any luck. Fished from 15 to 40 feet with riggers....
Fished from 7 am to about 2 pm today. Very slow ... didn't see very many other boats. Finally in afternoon picked up a couple of Kokes quite a ways up the South Fork. Fished 20 feet with...
KokaneeKarver .... I varied my speed all morning. I have a 50 HP outboard and no kicker. I have a trolling plate to slow it down a bit as needed. HOWEVER, I got most of the fish by changing speeds...
Had similar luck as JKToons this morning. Fished from about 7:30 to 11:30 am. Hooked about 8, got 6 to the boat and brought 3 home. The 3 at the boat were maybe 9 or 10 inches long. Thought they...
First, I gotta say I'm glad I spoke up ... got some conversation going in the Arrowrock forum. Second, thanks Terek for some tips. They are appreciated. I also dislike LP after about 10 AM due to...
Seems pretty silly then to have a "forum" for fishing particular waters. But I do agree that if you advertise that "favorite" spot, lots of folks may show up. Seems like a real conflict. And no, I...
How come no one posts anything here on how the fishing is. We were up there a week ago.... caught one very nice trout, two Kokes and talked to and saw several limits caught by others. Nobody wants...
The GPS on your phone should work regardless of service or not. I have verizon and have no service there, but the GPS works fine. You just need to upload the maps BEFORE you go.
I have a pair of small Walker manual downriggers along with a pair of Shasta Tackle Shuttle Hawks AND about $500 cash still in my wallet to spend on things to get those fish to bite.
And yes, we...
Decided to run up to LP to make sure the boat would run well before a trip to CJ Strike. Been fishing with Sturgeon8R in his boat all Spring. Put in at Turner's and trolled back and forth in front...
Care to share how deep you were fishing and what gear? That seems pretty deep for this time of year. But then again, I've been fishing @ 10-15 feet and haven't had great luck other than catching a...
Thanks Physion ... decided to pass on LP ... and the wind pretty much has stopped me from heading to CJ. Did well at CJ week ago ... lots of medium perch, few nice bass and a whole bunch of top...
I have manual downriggers and use one of these ... never worry about changing tackle and the line is set back to the same place every time ... unless I change the depth on purpose.
