  1. IT IS ABOUT TIME!
    6-16-10 - 6-18-10
This is our 4th visit to the Gorge this year and we finally had some decent weather but was still a bit nippy in the mornings. Been trolling along the shallows for Rainbows and occational Mac pups with no luck catching the elusive Kok. Friday morning put in at Sheeps Creek and proceeded to hit our productive areas of past learnings on the waters of Flaming Gorge. My wife and I cought fish at every location that we tried and at the end of the day we ended up with keeping one 3.5 lb Mac pup and two 2.5 lb Rainbows. In all we neted fifteen fish which kept us interested.

Saturday we left Anvil at 6:30 am and entertained my boy Kolby and his three friends by taking them still fishing in our ACE in the hole. We caught two Mac pups and 13 Rainbows with three of the Rainbows ranging from 3 to 4 lbs. At around 12 noon we decided to troll for the experience and proceeded to the Pipe Line where we neted two Kokanees, one a nice 4 pounder and a smal 2 pounder. By that time the winds had increased and blew us off of the water. Very excited to catch our first Kokanees of the 2010 season which made my entire weekend. My wife and I look forward to our next visit to the Gorge in two weeks where we will spend five days pursuing our love for the Kokanee adventure.
