Does anyone have a recommendation on a Yamaha Dealer in the Portland Vancouver area that you believe to be fair and trustworthy?

I used Clemens marine in Oregon city they met the internet price I had found, singlers wouldn't budge, as far as service I do my own work and there hasn't been any warranty issues to take it in for repair so I can't tell you of there service. I would check the internet to see what they are selling for there, to see if the dealer is in the ball park and you are not being taken advantage of. boats.net is a good place to start http://www.boats.net/outboard_motor/Yamaha/90HP/Y-F90LA.html and this is a site http://www.seedealercost.com/products/model-options/index/id/10119/productCategorySlug/om that has the msrp which is like list, no body pays that. and supposedly invoice which usually I have seen lower prices but these will give you an idea of what you should be paying. the rest will be how covenant and close to you they are, and do you feel comfortable with them. dfly

thumbsup Thank-you for the links and the information. It is nice being a informed consumer. For me Singlers was polite but would not take a trade in. Clemens Marine in Portland shared a wealth of information and it felt like the guy behind the counter was honest and trustworthy. I felt very comfortable there. At the end Clemens told me they could not touch the price that Pacific Boatland in Vancouver was giving me. Even after paying the Washington Sales Tax, Pacific Boatlands quote is better then I could find anywhere. Including on line. Dragonfly, your information has made me confident that I am getting a fair deal.
