I fished the soldier creek side in hopes of finding kokanee for dinner, and to try a little pre fishing for the dav event in a couple of weeks. We had a reel slow day, putting only 3 fish in the boat and losing one other to a long line release. We did manage to catch one each of the rainbow, cutthroat and that elusive little kokanee. The kokanee only measured in at 14" but that was enough for dinner. We will eat the rainbow for dinner tomorrow. We are headed to the gorge on friday and the following friday we have a campsite reserved at the soldier creek campground. One more week of work and I will be singing "FREEDOM!!!!".
