The kokanee were biting mid day May 20 boated 11 in about 3 hours. ave size around 17" largest 19'". most productive lures seemed to be brass 4" dodger w/ pink-white squid. fished over 35'-53' water, staight out of boat dock, line up w/ RV shed on north shore. had DRs at 10-15' most fish scanned at 20' or less, up tp surface. mph 1.3, gulp maggots and lunker lotion. lastly used weber grill, less filling, taste great.

Kokes in Lake Hattie (SE Wyo.) are aggressively hitting pink-white glow hoochies. Size was around 15". Landed only 1 in 6 fish, kokes seemed to know how to just disappear off the hook. We even tried stinger treble hooks. Any thoughts on fine tuning my presentaion, to get more in boat would be appreciated.

Have you tried a snubber in front of your Dodger?

Yes, put on small snubber, behind the dodger 4", fish were hitting, so wasn't concerned w/ leader length. Think We lost just as many as the other rods w/o snubber. Using Lamiglass rods designed for kokes. Use slow steady reteive. Koke fishing has it's challenges, hope the fish were just having a great day, We did.

Boat ramp at Lake Hattie is in very poor condition. Be careful. Large boulder in shallow water of ramp. Cable tie for dock extends out from dock at shallow angle, rail at end of dock means you have to negociate, above hazards plus climb over rail. If wind is out of northwest to north you might be a casualty.

Upper portion of Lake Hattie producing 17-18" fat kokanee. Flat line with silver or brass Jakes Spin-a-Lures are producing as well as DR with chartruse sqid only 10 feet behind DR ball.
Spent all of our time near inlet to upper portion.
Bite has been early most fish caught before 10 am. Then slows way down.
