The weather was just too nice not to head back to LBC to chase Bull trout. The Bull trout are still willing biters and my cousin and I had another good day. The fishing started a little slow, but picked up as the day wore on. We ended up landing 7 and had a couple of drive-bys and LDR a couple as well. Only one of the fish was less than 22 inches and the longest was 28.5 inches.

A few photos from the day.

Keep the open water photos coming for those of us facing the long winter ice up. Bull Trout? They look like typical lakers to me. What, if any, are the differences?

From what I know, they are both char (Salvelinus) and piscivorous. Bull trout do not get as big as Lake trout. I also believe that Bull trout need moving water to spawn.

For me, the biggest difference is Bull trout put up a much better fight than Lake trout.
