i grabbed a 2 hp honda to back up my electric trolling motor. its air cooled, so its real loud for a 4 stroke. is it quieter in the water? i haven't had a chance to use it yet. just wondering.its real loud out of the water.

If the exhaust comes out at the prop, it will be quieter.

Have you seen this video on the motor?

thanks, the video wouldn't play for me. the exhaust is just above the prop, i can't imagine that would be out of the water. looks like it would be well below the water line. it is cool though, you can start it right in the garage with out water. don't think it will work for trolling, way too loud. it'll help me get off the water on those windy days when the electric dies and i got it cheap.

--even with other brands... I have Suzuki 4 stroke and I find my 90 hp is quieter than my 9.9hp kicker.
--Loudest was my old 2 hp ESKA truly air cooled.. because they do not have an enclosed engine the noise and rattle is unbairable.
