I'm probably wrong but it seems more like a T.R. reference to me. But then again, I'd have to recheck that date. Whatever it is, wecome aboard, Jay.

Moose was a nickname i received while i was active duty. and the "1908" is actually shortened. Not sure why i did it but i needed a name for an account so i came up w/ "moose011908" then got lazy and just started doing 1908 and it stayed. 01-19-2008 Was the day my enlistment was up. Guess i kinda just stuck w/ the shortened 1908 and use it for all my accounts now.

Hey Jay just be happy that you found it.... Great place, with some high end kokanee addicts that are willing to give out tip that would take years to find out on your own... Welcome

Not at all Rob! Eventhough I lost my hair in the war, there's plenty of folks older than me floating the waves of Flaming Gorge.

Thanks Moose for the explanation though it wasn't really necessary. Just having some fun and keeping things light. As you've already witnessed, once you establish a reputation (or someone else FABRICATES one for you), it's tough withstand the criticism. Again, it's all in fun and that's what this forum is all about. We share a common interest and some have more to share than others or others would like at times.

Good to have you here Moose! 101welcomw What kind of kokanee gear were you researching and what lakes do you fish?

Generally everything i guess. I never fished for kokes and always wanted too but had absolutely no knowledge on the fish. I just bought the okuma SST Kokanee rod w/ the Tica KT101 reel. I have a 16' Lund that i use for everything but kokanee so now its gonna have a downrigger on it as wellthumbsup I am spending a little bit of money to get started, but i know it will pay off. My biggest addiction is steelhead fishing, beed doing it for about 12 years now and i STILL cant get enough of it! Im sure thats where this is heading as well!
As for lakes, LP, Anderson Ranch, and Deadwood are the main ones im looking at. Im going home on leave in July and plan on spending a week up in Deadwood with just the Wife and I, cant wait!! Until then i'll be on here memorizing every post and soaking up as much knowledge as possible!!thumbsup
