Hi Everbody,

Our friends that have the charge boxes sent us to your site. They said it was a great site. We are a tackle manufacturer for salmon fishing on the Great Lakes. We would like tos ee what your fishery is like and see if there is anything we can introduce new to you. We would like to learn more about what you use for catching your kokanees, etc.

I personally mostly use jigs, like the Gibbs Minnow or Buzz Bombs and the such. Pinks and Oranges dominate my choice for colors, especially if they have a bit of white on them for contrast. I'm not much of a troller but have found a few to be gullible for a wedding ring behind a small gang troll or a ford fender. I keep hearing about dodgers and hootchies but have yet to catch one single koke on one. And it matters not the brand, I've tried them all, without success. But, maybe this will be the year to change all that.

Hope this gives you at least some idea of what is being used out here for our kokanee, (Sockeye Salmon).

We use trolling flies, meat rigs (super magnum and mini), spoons & j-plugs with 8" and 11" flashers.

We manufacture trolling flies, meat rigs and also have custom taped attractors (flashers). The latest and greatest is our XXXtreme Glow and XXXtreme UV series available in 8 mm beads, bullet heads and meat heads. We have sold some of our products out west to guys trolling on inland lakes for rainbows & lakers on our vibrator flies with great results.

Thanks everybody for the welcome greetings :)

Many of the retailers advertising here on the site have most of their wares on their own sites. I suggest you visit several of them and see for yourself first hand. Personally, my success varies year-to-year. Several years ago it was Apex Hot Spots, then it was Tasmanian Devils, then it was in-line spinner rigs, then it was the small hoochies (1.5 inch) and then last year it was back to the spinner rigs. Who knows what will be the hot lure this year? Maybe you could share the "HOT TICKET" from the Great Lake Region. The fishing shows that have helped me get through this LONG WINTER show a lot of green used back there for the Kings.

WELCOME once again and we all look forward to your reports.
