Hi!

Well an old friend (who passed away) bequeath to me his old 1954 Thompson "Take Along" (Canvas over Wood) 12 ft. row/outboard boat - 90 lbs. plus EZ-Loader trailer.

Needs some restoration -> Will be a good summer project!

Love Wood! thumbsup

Should look like this when done!

That boat will be too pretty to get blood in it! Once you start the project, create a thread with the progress / before & after pictures so we can experience it with you.

I think it would be cool to watch a thread following your restoration!

Years ago I had an 1955 15-16' Crestliner aluminum boat that I was going to restore..... Didn't have the $, so I let it go. I still wish I had kept it.

I can almost remember the sound they make, enjoy it!

Hi All!

OK! As requested I'll post my restoration progress + pictures.
1st I had to get over this stomach bug that's been going around here in Ct.
Took me out for 6 days.
I did get to take the boat over to my friend Schyler Thomson who is a "Master Boat Restorer/Builder".
He gave me a 2 Thumbs-up on restoring the boat.
He also has provided me with invaluable information on how to approach it.
Right now the Wx has been absolutely LOUSY.
Nothing but gray skies and rain -> Need drier Wx to get this project underway!

More to come!101wave2101
